so wipe the sleep from your eyes

ich kotz gleich! da hab ich meinen blog auf die beschissene beta-version von blogger umgestellt, und plötzlich funktioniert gar nichts mehr. wenn ihr also gerade 3 neue einträge seht, denkt euch nichts dabei. ich muss mir den scheiß erst noch erziehen...

trotzdem sollt ihr nicht ganz ohne neue musik auskommen müssen. und da ich gestern einen sehr skanidanivien-lastigen post hatte, kommt heute mal wieder - na? - klar, kanada dran. auf i (heart) music, einem ziemlich guten kanadischen musikblog habe ich the rural alberta advantage entdeckt. das scheint noch eine ziemlich junge band zu sein, laut ihrer myspace-seite haben sie noch nicht mal eine plattenfirma. hier ist erst 'mal ein bisschen musik:

bitte seht es mir nach, wenn ich nicht mehr allzu viel über die musik der band schreibe, sondern einfach den text von ihrer myspace-seite hier 'rein kopiere:
The Rural Alberta Advantage play indie-rock folk songs about hometowns and heartbreak, born out of images from growing up in Central and Northern Alberta. They sing about summers in the Rockies and winters on the farm, ice breakups in the spring time and the oil boom’s charm, the mine workers on compressed, the equally depressed, the city’s slow growth and the country’s wild rose, but mostly the songs just try to embrace the advantage of growing up in Alberta.

bleibt nur noch zu sagen, dass mir die musik der band gefällt (ist auch nicht anders zu erwarten, wenn sie als ihrer einflüsse "Neutral Milk Hotel, Hayden, The Microphones, Sufjan Stevens, Iron and Wine, and M Ward" angeben) und ich da so einiges an potential sehe. vielleicht sollte ich ja auch mal über eine karriere als "lebensberaterin" nachdenken...
jetzt muss ich aber erst mal ins bett, damit ich morgen früh frisch meine aktuelle karriere weiter verfolgen kann.
